Help Me Access Written Text

Listen to Our Web Pages

Mind Tools uses a service from BrowseAloud to speak the content of our website.

You can install BrowseAloud immediately for free by clicking the link below:

You can also install BrowseAloud free on your computer by visiting their website at http://www.browsealoud.com.

Once installed, you can listen to our web pages by clicking on paragraphs and sentences and hearing the words spoken out loud.

Zoom Our Web Pages

You can make the text on our web pages easier to read by adjusting either the font size or your zoom level of your browser. You can adjust these on different web browsers as follows:

Browser
How to Zoom
Internet Explorer Page > Zoom
OR
Ctrl + to zoom in
Ctrl - to zoom out
OR use the Zoom % indicator in the bottom right hand corner of your browser window
Firefox View > Zoom > (deselect Zoom Text Only) then
Ctrl + to zoom in
Ctrl - to zoom out
Chrome Tools icon > Zoom
OR
Ctrl + to zoom in
Ctrl - to zoom out
Safari Page icon > Zoom
OR
Ctrl + to zoom in
Ctrl - to zoom out

Firefox users can also increase the font size on pages by doing:

View > Zoom > (select Zoom Text Only) then Ctrl + to zoom in Ctrl - to zoom out.

However, we recommend zooming the whole page (and not just the font) as this will give a better result for on-page navigation.

Help Me Access Audio Material

There are several things that you can do if you cannot hear our audio or video material.

Book Insights and Expert Interviews

Our Book Insights and Expert Interviews are published in audio and transcript format. Please choose the transcript format if you have difficulty with listening to audio on your computer.

Accompanying Videos

Some of our articles contain short accompanying videos that introduce and summarize the content of the article. Transcripts of all of these are available on our Videos page.
